Puerto Princesa Underground River

THE NEW SEVEN WONDERS OF NATURE FINALIST

These two campaigns are on same foundation, New7Wonders Foundation, led by Canadian-Swiss Bernard Weber. The "New 7 Wonders of Nature" began last 2007 following the declaration of the winners of the "New 7 Wonders of the World". The Official Declaration of the New7Wonders of Nature will be in November 11, 2011 (11/11/2011). The tentative venue of declaration is Indonesia.

The Official New7Wonders of Nature campaign started in 2007 where it listed over 440 participants representing over 220 countries and through a national qualification and race to become one of the top 77 and went to top 28 finalists, where Puerto Princesa underground River in the
Philippines is one of them.

News from different media including television, radio and the internet told us that President Benigno S. Aquino III urged all Filipinos here and abroad to vote and support the country’s pride, the Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR), as one of the finalists in the global search for the New 7 Wondersof Nature.

He also signed the proclamation order urging all national government agencies, local government units, students and even overseas Filipino workers to join hands in the aggressive voting campaign thru internet and SMS (short messaging system).
