BULABOG BEACH - BORACAY - PHILIPPINES

Bulabog Beach - Also on the eastern side of Boracay, is south of Ilig-Iligan Beach. It is separated from White Beach on the west by the narrowest part of the island.

The one kilometer long Bulabog Beach comes alive during the early months of each year, when powered by the northeast monsoon, windsufers skim through its waters. Its then truly a windsurfer's paradise.

The Boracay International Funboard Cup has been held there each year since 1988, and since 1989 has been one leg of the Southeast Asia Funboard Cup. In addition to windsurfers, kiteboarders also now enjoy the strong winds until June or July, when the southwest monsoon begins.

Bulabog Beach is often deserted, allowing you can feel "the other side" of Boracay during a walk there.
